

Putting the EyeSight safety package in to the auto Outback diesel makes it a more attractive proposition for rural and regional owners. Subaru's enthusiastic safety onslaught is continuing with its EyeSight technology now extended to every automatic variant of its 2016 Outback line up – including its turbo diesel models. Now the only Outback without all-seeing EyeSight (which has been upgraded with a higher-resolution camera) is the diesel-engined manual, which has not yet been calibrated by Subaru engineers to take the system.ĮyeSight systems have a raft of driver-assist technologies to help avoid collisions, extending to adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, pre-collision braking and steering assist. It is operational all the way to 145km/h.
